545 kind acts from students + 545 kind acts from their parents = 1,090 kind acts
That’s what’s coming to West Orange New Jersey and the surrounding area starting Feburary 1st when the Moore Love Pass it On program starts at Gregory Elementary School in West Orange!
Every student will be given two Moore Love kindness cards—one for themselves and one for a parent. Once they do something kind and pass their card on, they can log their kind action at moore-love.org (yep, that’s this site!) and when they return to school the next day, they’ll receive a blue Moore Love bracelet. Their kind actions will be rewarded when they wear their blue bracelets around town and receive gifts from area merchants—like free bowling at Eagle Rock Lanes, a free mini cupcake at Supreme Bakery and the list goes on!
Of course all of the incentives should prompt students to consider kindness and try it out, but once they experience that warm fuzzy feeling you get after doing something kind, they are sure to want to continue the kindness! Better yet, they’ll be able to watch their kindness grow by returning to moore-love.org to track their card, using their card number (which allows them to track their card while staying anonymous!). Once students realize the impact just one kind action can have, they are certain to want to keep planting the seed for even more!
So don’t be surprised if on a snowy day, someone hands you a warm hot chocolate and a Moore Love kindness card as you’re trudging through the snow on your commute to work. And if they do, be sure to keep the kindness going.
Who knows, we might just be able to turn 1,090 acts of kindness into 2,180…4,360…8,720…Pass it on!
